In some parts of Australia there has not been no substantial rain for 5 years and the Drought Restriction have been put in place.

In parts of the Gold Coast, a millionaires paradise as the name suggests, Category 5 restrictions have been put in place. This means that if there is no substantial rainfall in the near future water will be diverted from industry to domestic users and will either be rationed by time or switched off completely to parts of industry. For the laundry industry this will prove catastrophic.
At a recent conference in Newcastle Australia Dunlop Design Engineering where asked to present a paper on “Technological Advances in Waste Water Recovery in the Laundry Industry”. The presentation covers not only traditional ways of recovering and conserving water but also the newly developed Clearwater system already in Europe and America recovering up to 80% of Landry waste water and energy.
